Exporting and Stitching Your Finished Movie
From shots to one video
When your shots are done, you can combine your AI Movie into a single video. This is called stitching. Here's how it works.
What you need first
- At least two shots. A single shot has nothing to join.
- Every shot completed. If one is still generating, or failed, wait for it or deal with it first.
- No other stitch running. Your account can only have one stitch running at a time. If one is active, you'll be told, and you can start yours when it finishes.
Only shots still on your timeline are included. Removed shots are left out.
How to stitch
- Open your Movie.
- Make sure every shot shows Completed.
- Choose to export or stitch the Movie.
- Wait while it's combined. This runs in the background, so you can leave the page.
- Open your finished video from your gallery and download it.
What you get
The result is a new, standalone video saved in your gallery, and your original shots stay available too. If you add more shots later and stitch again, you get another new video instead of replacing the first one.
Does stitching cost anything?
No extra charge. You've already paid for the shots, and stitching just joins them. It doesn't use your wallet.
Why it works smoothly
Shots in a Movie share the same quality, resolution and aspect ratio, so they join cleanly. See why every shot shares the same settings.
When to download shots separately instead
Every completed shot is its own video, so you can download them individually. This is better when you want to:
- Trim, reorder or cut shots in an editor.
- Add music, voiceover or titles.
- Use a clip in a different project.
Stitching vs. downloading segments covers the trade-offs in detail.
If stitching fails
You'll see a general message and can try again. Make sure all shots are completed and no other stitch is running. If it keeps failing, contact us with your Movie's title and the time you tried.
After you export
- Review the finished video from start to finish.
- Share or download it.
- Archive the Movie if you're done, to free up a slot. See reviewing and managing shots.
