Why Did My Generation Disappear From History?
The short answer
Your generation history is meant to show things you can actually view — results you generated, or ones still actively on their way. A generation that failed, was cancelled, or never produced a usable result is deliberately left out, because there's nothing there to look at. It isn't a bug, and it isn't your data being lost.
What gets left out, and why
If a generation failed, was rejected before it started, was cancelled, or stalled out entirely, it won't appear in your history view. Showing a dead-end entry with no image or video attached to it wouldn't be useful — it would just be clutter in a screen meant for browsing what you've actually created.
What stays visible
Anything that completed successfully, and anything genuinely still in progress (so you can see a "generating..." indicator while you wait), stays in your history. Only the terminal failures are the ones filtered out.
Was I still charged for something that doesn't show up?
No. If a generation doesn't appear because it failed, you weren't charged for it — see how refunds work when a generation fails. A missing entry in your history and a missing charge on your balance go together; neither happens without the other.
How do I know if something actually failed, versus just not finding it?
Check your wallet transaction history around the time you generated it — if you see a hold followed by a release with no settle entry, that confirms it failed and was refunded, which explains why it's not in your gallery. If you see a full settle entry, the generation succeeded and should be visible — in that case, worth reporting as something to look into.
Is there a way to see failed generations too?
Not currently through the regular history view — it's built around "things I can view," not a full audit log of every attempt. If you specifically need to track down what happened to a particular attempt, your wallet transaction history is the more reliable place to look, since every attempt — successful or not — leaves a trace there even when it doesn't leave a visible result.
What to do if something you're sure succeeded is missing
That's worth reporting to support with roughly when you generated it and what it was — a video, image, or Movie shot — so it can be looked into properly.
