Choosing an Image Quality Tier and What It Costs

Three quality tiers, not one flat setting

SoulrisAI generates images through three quality tiers: Standard, High, and Ultra. Each tier draws from its own pool of capable models, with the system automatically routing your request to a model within whichever tier you've selected (or, in chat, whichever tier your chat tier maps to) — you don't pick a specific model yourself.

Generally, a higher tier means a better-resourced model handling your request, which tends to show up as more detail, more coherent composition, and fewer obvious artifacts — especially on complex prompts (multiple subjects, detailed scenes, text within the image). For simple subjects, the gap between tiers is often less noticeable.

How quality is chosen in Image Studio vs. in chat

If you're generating from Image Studio, you pick the quality tier directly — it's a required setting on every generation, not a default you can skip.

If you're generating through a chat conversation, SoulrisAI picks the tier for you, based on your chat tier (Basic, Intelligent, Expert, or Super — see understanding chat tiers). A higher chat tier maps to a higher image quality tier automatically. You can still request a lower quality tier than your chat tier would default to if you want to save on cost for a given image, but you can't ask chat to push above what your tier allows — that request is simply treated as your tier's default instead, with no error.

What it costs

Cost scales with the quality tier — Ultra costs more than High, which costs more than Standard. SoulrisAI shows you the cost before the image generates and reserves that amount from your wallet balance up front, so there's no surprise charge after the fact; you're never billed more than what was reserved for that generation. Exact prices vary by which model within a tier handles your request, so the most reliable way to see a number is the estimate shown in Image Studio right before you generate, rather than a fixed table here.

When Standard is enough

Standard is a reasonable default for:

When it's worth paying for High or Ultra

Consider a higher tier for:

A practical approach: draft on Standard until the prompt itself is right, then regenerate your final version on a higher tier once you're happy with the composition — see regenerating or tweaking an image for how to iterate without starting over each time.

It's billed per image, not a flat monthly rate

There's no subscription for image generation — each generation draws from your wallet balance individually. See how to fund your SoulrisAI wallet for background on how wallet funding works across SoulrisAI's paid features.

Try it yourself

If you're not sure which tier a particular prompt needs, generate it once on Standard first — it's the cheapest way to see your composition before deciding whether it's worth a higher-tier regeneration.
