How to Generate Your First AI Video Clip on SoulrisAI
Where video generation lives
Video generation on SoulrisAI is a dedicated Studio flow, separate from chat — you set every parameter explicitly rather than describing a video in a sentence to the AI. It requires a funded wallet; it isn't available on the free tier. See how the free trial works for what the free tier does cover.
Step 1: Choose a quality tier
SoulrisAI offers three video quality tiers:
- Budget — fastest and lowest-cost, best for quick drafts
- Standard — balanced quality and cost, the default choice for most videos
- Premium — the highest-fidelity model available, at a higher price, an explicit opt-in
Each tier routes your request to a different pool of capable models behind the scenes — you pick the tier, not a specific model. See Budget vs. Standard vs. Premium video quality for what actually changes between them.
Step 2: Pick a resolution and aspect ratio
Available resolution and aspect ratio combinations are shown to you directly in Studio — not every resolution supports every aspect ratio, and which durations you can choose depends on which resolution/aspect ratio combination you've picked. Check the options Studio shows you before writing your prompt, so you're not deciding duration first and finding out later it isn't offered for your chosen resolution.
Step 3: Choose a duration
Duration options are discrete, not a free slider — only specific lengths are valid for a given resolution/aspect ratio combination. Studio shows you exactly which durations are available once you've picked resolution and aspect ratio.
Step 4: Write your prompt
Describe the scene, action, and camera movement you want — video prompts benefit from describing motion specifically, not just a static scene. See writing prompts for video for a fuller breakdown.
Step 5: Get a cost estimate, then generate
Before committing, SoulrisAI shows you a cost estimate for your exact combination of resolution, duration, and quality tier. Once you generate, the estimated cost is reserved from your wallet balance up front. See estimating video cost before you generate for how the estimate is worked out.
Step 6: Wait for it to process
Video generation is asynchronous — it doesn't complete instantly the way a chat reply does. It moves through a few in-progress states before it's ready, which you can check on from your generation history. Understanding generation status and wait times explains each state, and what to do if a video stalls or fails covers the rare case where it doesn't finish.
Starting from an existing image
If you want your video to start from a specific image rather than being generated from scratch, SoulrisAI supports image-to-video for resolution/aspect-ratio combinations that offer it — check whether your chosen combination supports it before planning around it.
Extending a clip into something longer
A single generated clip is one segment. If you want a longer sequence, SoulrisAI supports chaining additional segments onto it, each continuing from where the last one left off — see how video chaining works for the full explanation.
Try it yourself
Pick a short duration and your Budget tier for your first attempt — it's the cheapest way to get a feel for how your prompt translates into motion before committing to a longer, higher-tier generation.
