How the SoulrisAI Free Trial Works (And What Happens When It Runs Out)
The short version
Every new SoulrisAI account starts on the free tier. You can chat with the AI without depositing a single naira. The free tier exists so you can judge the product for yourself before spending anything — it is not meant to be a permanent way to use every feature.
What the free tier actually includes
On the free tier, you can:
- Start chats and get real AI responses — no card, no deposit
- Use the product on web or mobile
What the free tier does not include:
- Sending documents or images for the AI to analyze (attachments require a funded wallet — see why attachments need a deposit)
- The higher model tiers (intelligent, expert, super) — free-tier usage is served by lower-cost models
- Image generation, document generation, and video generation, all of which are billed per generation
What "runs out" actually means
Your free-tier usage is governed by a quota — a limit on how much you can send and how long your messages can be before SoulrisAI asks you to fund your wallet. There's also a per-device restriction, which exists to stop the free tier from being used to create unlimited throwaway accounts rather than to punish real users.
When you hit one of these limits, you'll see a message in-chat rather than a silent failure — the system tells you you've reached your free-tier limit and gives you the option to deposit and continue immediately, in the same conversation.
Why there's a limit at all
SoulrisAI pays for every AI response it serves, even on the free tier. An unlimited free tier isn't actually free for anyone — it either gets abused, or it has to be subsidized by raising prices for paying users. Capping the free tier is what keeps the pay-per-use pricing honest for everyone who does deposit.
What changes the moment you deposit
As soon as your wallet has a balance, several things unlock at once:
- Attachments — you can send images and documents to the AI for analysis
- Higher model tiers — access to intelligent, expert, and super models where the question calls for it
- Image, document, and video generation — all billed per generation from your wallet balance, not subscription-gated
There's no separate "upgrade" step beyond funding your wallet — the same account simply gains capabilities once there's a balance to draw from.
If you're not ready to deposit yet
That's fine — there's no pressure or expiry on the free tier itself beyond the usage quota. Use it to get a feel for how the AI responds, how response style and display name personalization change the experience, and decide for yourself whether it's worth funding a wallet for the features that require one.
